I thought I would do a Christmas gift guide of a few things I’m currently loving and enjoy doing. I have recently got into colouring, I never thought at my age I would be spending my evening’s colouring in. I have seen a lot of people buying the adult colouring in books, and pictures on Facebook and Instagram of people’s different colouring in books. So I thought I have nothing to lose by giving it ago, I used to enjoy colouring when I was a child. I did wonder how I would find the time, I didn’t want to start colouring the book when my little boy is awake as I want this colouring book kept as something for me, he has plenty of colouring books for his age.
I had heard that the colouring in books are supposed to be relaxing and good if you suffer with anxiety, I also read its the latest weapon again stress! I could not believe all of this could be true. But I found colouring in the evening when the little one was asleep very relaxing, I enjoyed having something for me and to keep me busy when I needed to be. I have the Enchanted Forest colouring book that retails at £9.95 which I think is a brilliant price for the size of the colouring book and how great the pages look.
I have also been using the Water colour pencils that retails at £6.50, I didn’t know what pencils to go for to be honest I always had cheap standard crayons when I was younger. I went for the water colour pencils to see what there like and they did not disappoint! They’re amazing and I can really see the difference in using better quality pencils. I’m very happy with my colouring book and pencils and have spent many hours relaxing in my spare time or when I do start to fell stressed. I would recommend the adult colouring to everyone to give ago. I got the colouring book and water colour pencils from Cass Art they have everything you will need and a selection of different crayons and colouring in books to choice from.
Next has to be fashion of course! I’m always looking online lately and adding clothing and boots to my wish list. I find that at this time of year I spend more time browsing for new clothes and boots. I like to update my winter wardrobe with a few key pieces. I usually like to go for a pair of black boots as they go with everything and then a few different handbags normally a black and brown bag. I’m loving the chelsea style boots lately they go with everything and are very on trend at the moment. I’m also a big fan of big handbags!
I love being able to fit in everything that I want to take out with me, people have often picked up my bag and said wow that’s heavy what do you carry around with you. The brown bag has a snake skin effect which is also on trend at the moment I’m seeing a lot of bags and boots with this pattern on. I don’t have anything snake skin yet! I think this bag would be a great buy to start my collection of this trend, this brown bag is from Brantano retails at £75 which isn’t bad for a good quality bag. The black boots are also from Brantano they retail at £42 which I think is a good price for a pair of boots, they can sometimes cost a lot, they have a heel to the boots but not too high so would be good for day and evening time. I prefer my boots to have some kind of heel as I’m fairly short, but don’t like a big heel for day time.
*Have you tried adult colouring? What do you think of the boots and handbag?
