Just a pre-warning this post is PICTURE heavy! I had already deleted so many pictures from this post, But I couldn’t cut it down anymore everything is just so pretty! I was invited to attend a blogger meet up a John Lewis in Birmingham to share with us all the Christmas decorations and gifts for this year.
I love Christmas and this event was very magical, I’m very much in the Christmas spirit now. We were shown the new Twinkly LED Christmas lights starter set which retails at £65, now this really is a game changer! you download the app on your phone and can set the lights to turn on and off on a timer, you can also design how you want the lights to flash there are different patterns you can choose from, the app is very easy to use and the colours and settings change instantly.
The Twinkly string lists are app controlled the displays are pre-programmed light shows, the app can be downloaded from Android or IOS app. You can download patterns from the Twinkly gallery, you can download patterns from the Twinkly gallery. The lights can be used indoors and outdoors, you get 13.5m in the starter set but you can also add more to the starter to kit with the Twinkly extra large set 20.5m for £85, there is also the Twinkly add-on set 14.9 £50, you will, however, have to purchase the starter kit before you can get the add-on sets.
I also got to see the John Lewis advent calendar for this year which retails at £149 not bad price considering the products inside are worth £300, also a lot of the products inside are full size. I have always wanted a beauty advent calendar they look amazing! and are good value for money with all the products you get to try, however with buying Christmas presents for my son in December and his Birthday also being at the start of December all my extra money every year goes on making this special for him.
There where nibbles also to try they had out the Porky and Nice Advent calendar £18 I’m not a pork scratching lover so saved this for my partner to try he said it was very good. I did, however, try the Prestat Christmas Prosecco Panettone £15 this was very tasty! you could defiantly taste the prosecco. The Prestat Popping pink Prosecco white chocolate truffles £14 looked very Instagram worthy! I don’t like truffles so didn’t try any but everyone there seemed to like them. The Prestat Chocolate bar library £9.50 they had this in milk, dark chocolate and white, my favorite is the milk chocolate. Talking about Instagram worthy the Unicorn Tears Gin £40 looks incredible! the gin also sparkles! They also had Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger gin £18 looks like a great looking gift for a gin lover.
The Marc Jacob beauty collection looks very good this year, they had the night owl cracker and plenty of gift sets to choose from. I just love the packaging so pretty. I loved the scent section for Christmas the scented scentsicles £6 they come in a pack of 6 that you hang from the tree, great idea to add to artificial Christmas trees to smell like real trees, they also have the spiced orange and snowberry wreath. The winter spice potpourri £15 smells incredible they also have this scent in candles and the diffuser. There are also decorations to add to the tree with the same winter spice scent my favorite is the gold bubble with the winter spice pourri inside £8.
What’s your favorite Christmas tree from the photos above? Do you like the John Lewis adverts?
Lots Of love,
