I thought it would be time to think about new year resolutions, I set them every year and I’m pleased to say that I have pretty much ticked off all of my goals for 2017! Amazing huh? I’m now thinking of 2018 goals and already I have an idea, I buy a calendar for every year and keep it in my handbag, write in all the important appointments and Birthdays.
I also use the back pages of the notes to write my goals for the year so I know what they are and that there always with me. I think a lot of people hope to be debt free or to save and this is the most common goal, this year I did the 1p money saving challenge found this very easy to follow and didn’t notice the change I was popping in the pot I will be doing the same this year.
I think this is a good challenge to set even if you don’t manage to save as much as the end result of the challenge any saving is better then nothing. I think at this time of year we all think a lot more about money with buying gifts ect, I think it’s important to set a budget for people and not go over if you cant afford expensive gifts then don’t buy them don’t get in debt for a present. There are plenty of ways to save by shopping around or even making your own Christmas gifts! you don’t have to spend a lot for someone to appreciate a gift.
It’s also important to remember you’re not alone and there are plenty of people in the same boat! Either saving money, in debt or trying to not get into debt. There are plenty of schemes and money saving websites out there that specialise in this and can work with you on how to be debt free or how to manage payments, or even just for advice. I know one website that can help you with this Carrington Dean they have plenty more info on the website, they can talk to the creditors for you and set up manageable monthly installments and help you come to an agreement.
