Some say it is hard to find gifts for men, but I believe anyone can be hard to purchase a gift for if you do not know what hobbies they have and their likes and dislikes.
To hopefully help you buy your Christmas gifts in time next year here are a few tips:
- When out shopping with the Man you wish to buy for take notice of what they pick up. They may not purchase it for a number of reasons, but often it is not because they do not want it, but because they feel guilty purchasing non-essential items for themselves, so take note and come back later and buy the gift.
- This brings me nicely on to the next tip. Don’t be afraid to store presents in your cupboards for a period of time. It’s sometimes hard for people to find inspiration last minute, but if you see the perfect Christmas present for your dad in April, cease the moment, come December you may not have as much luck.
- Ask directly! Some people may find this ruins the Christmas spirit, but getting a rough idea or a list of ten things a friend or love one likes/is interested in, can still mean the Christmas present is a surprise. They are not to know which one you choose or what ideas the list has inspired you into purchasing.
- Ask friends and family. Your husband or boyfriend’s sister or best friend may know exactly what they want. If you have known someone for a few months a family member may have a lot better idea of someone’s likes and dislikes.
Most importantly have fun and enjoy the experience.
