Glossier Boy Brow Brown Review ❤

March 30, 2018

Hi All!

I’m all for trying eyebrow products in the chance of getting perfect brows, but not having to spend too long doing them. If you haven’t seen Glossier where have you been hiding? Glossier has been very much hyped up in the blogger world.

I have been waiting for Glossier to hit the UK so I can try here products first on the list was Boy Brow, Milky Jelly Cleanser, Balm Dot, Solution and the perfume! I have tried all of the products on my wishlist apart from the perfume, so keep an eye out for more Glossier product reviews.

The Glossier Boy Brow is a small tube costing £14 comes in 4 shades clear, brown, black and blond, when I first used this eyebrow mascara I was hooked. The Boy Brow looks so natural but my brows are filled in, coloured and all the hairs looking in place.

This eyebrow product is super quick swiping on some gel and being ready to leave, the colour pay off is great perfect shade, and lasts all day. I prefer my eyebrows to be slightly darker then my natural colour, if you apply too much or slightly miss your eyebrows you can just rub the product off easy.

The little brush is perfect for swiping across my eyebrows, you get a lot of product on the brush you don’t need a lot, I have to wipe some of the product of the brush as there is too much to apply. The Boy Brow did a good job of filling in any patchy parts, very easy eyebrow product that anyone could use for quick easy perfect brows!

What do you think of Glossier? Have you tried Boy Brow?

Lots Of Love,

Semi Permanent Eyebrows ❤

April 18, 2016

Hi All!

I thought would share with you all a recent treatment I had done, I have wanted semi permanent eyebrows for a long time and I have finally had them done!  If you have any questions or would like any information then leave me a comment and I will get back to you. I’ve always struggled with eyebrows now knowing what shade to go for when either in the shop or looking online. I wanted semi permanent so that I could find the right shape for my face and shade, and just needing to pluck the eyebrows every now and then to keep the shape. I have noticed how popular semi permeant eyebrows have become recently on social media and with the celebrities. I booked my appointment at Defining Beauty in Birmingham with Faye, I spoke to Faye a lot through emails discussing what I wanted and all the questions I had before booking the appointment,I was very nervous I had nothing to worry about  after minutes of being in the consultation with Faye I was at ease and exciting to get started! ,The most fundamental part of the brow tattooing process is the shape and colour. It needs to compliment your natural shape as well as your face shape and complexion, your therapist should ensure both factors are perfect.the shape is drawn on with a cosmetic pencil to give a realistic idea of what can be achieved with your face shape.IMG_1412*Top photo is before having semi permanent eyebrows and the bottom is after both sessions of Semi Permeant Eyebrows*

Faye began by looking at eyebrow shades that would suit my skin tone I didn’t want them too dark but also like them darker then my natural shade, the colour was mixed up and shown to me to agree before the process started. Once the outline has been pencilled in, which I must admit is very scary as it looks very bold to begin with, your Therapist will begin the art of creating hair strokes which merge with your natural brows. Right then, onto the pain! I’m not going to lie, you are getting a tattoo on your face, so its not going to be pain free but I had a layer of numbing cream applied before beginning and then again once the outline was finished, then again half way through before adding the hair strokes, this helps to prevent as little as pain as possible through the process. I think it depends on how high your pain thresh hold is everyone is different. I was happy to put up with the pain for the first process and then again for the top up! I was happy with the end result and the pain was worth it.IMG_1406* First session and last session of semi permanent eyebrows*

The eyebrows are more permanent on some people, everyone’s skin is different and reacts to the process differently. Some can be left with only small trace of the tattoo and others can lose all pigment, sometimes the skin will reject pigment in areas and only for it to return later on. Semi permanent can last for several years however you will experience fade, you should have a top up every 12-18 months to keep them looking as good as new. After the producer the colour implanted will initially appear darker for the first few days, until the area heals and exfoliates and the true colour emerges. I had a top up after my first eyebrow appointment as they recommend you have a follow up/ top up appointment 4-6 weeks later. The healing process I found fine, I applied the oil and skin ointment in the evenings, the first couple of weeks I didn’t touch them other then applying cream, I applied vaseline before showering and going to the gym this will protect them when getting wet through the healing process. The first couple of weeks when they where healing I found they started to flake.IMG_1414*Straight after the process of semi permanent eyebrows and after the eyebrows have started to heal*

I will leave the details to where I had my semi permanent eyebrows done. The cost is £295 & £325 for eyebrows, this includes the consultation the first appointment for semi permanent eyebrows and the top up 4-6 weeks later. The website is Defining Beauty Facebook page incase you have any questions or would like to see more of Faye’s pictures Defining Beauty Facebook.

*What do you think of my semi permanent eyebrows? Would you have semi permanent eyebrows?
