So here’s my post on these 3 nail varnishes that I picked up the other day, now I have never tried Models Own nail varnish and tend to go for Essie nail varnish. But I have seen so many great reviews on Models Own that I had to try a few of there different shades it was very hard choosing only 3 as I loved so many of them. I picked these from the new winter wonderland collection, and when is best to try a new product is when boots have the great 3for2 offer on makeup!. I think that there all great colours and have worn them all already I haven’t got them on at the moment but I have taken 3 more pictures of each colour on one of my nails, yes I know the picture quality isn’t great also I only painted them quickly on to show you the colour so the application isn’t great either but I can’t rave about them anymore there perfect for the Christmas season and also lasted on my nails for days without chipping which I often find is the case with nail polish I picked these up for £5 each I think I will add the link to the boots website.
So there the 3 photo’s of the nail varnish so the first shade is called Nude Beige , Second photo is Northern Lights, last photo is Jack Frost.
Have you tried any of the Models Own nail varnish which ones?
So this is my first post doing a week in photo’s I haven’t really had a very busy week but thought I would still do one of these posts . My stupid laptop has decided that it was going to break so haven’t been able to get on here for while and have to use my phone to try and check for updates, so posts and replies will be slow until I can get laptop fixed or hopefully Santa is nice and brings me an Ipad 🙂 I can hope!.
These photos where taken at the start of the week I had a little bonfire do in my mum’s back garden and lit a little fire.
Today I had a lazy Sunday watching Christmas films on channel Christmas 24 I have only just found out about this great channel and already addicted to watching Christmas films!.
Last photo of the week is this cute owl toilet roll I picked up from Asda today, I just love anything to do with owls so when I saw this I just had to have it!.
How’s your week been? Have you started watching Christmas movies yet?
Here’s the book I got the recipe out of for my baby shower cup cakes, they are Christmas ones so If you wanted to you could follow the same recipe and decorate them the same as in the photo or change the design on them like I did.
Ingredient’s: To make 15 cakes
100g self-raising flour
2 medium eggs
100g soft margarine
100g caster sugar
paper cake cases
For butter icing:
75gbutter or margarine
175g icing sugar
2 Teaspoon’s of vanilla essence
Heat oven to 190 , gas mark 5 before you start.
Break the 2 eggs into the bowl then sift the flour through a sieve into the bowl .
Add the margarine and the sugar into the same bowl with the eggs and flour.
Stir all the mixture well using a wooden spoon carry on stirring until you get a smooth creamy mixture like the photo above.
Put the paper cases into the pans in the baking trays use a spoon to half fill each case with the mixture.
Then bake the cakes for about 20 minutes and carefully take them out of the oven. Leave them on a rack to cool down. When the cakes have cooled down you can then add the butter icing to each cup cake and decorate how ever you want to, I just added food colouring to make my butter icing blue and then put little shoes, bottles and baby grows on my cupcakes as I made them for my baby shower.
Here’s a photo of me and my massive bump making the cakes 🙂 hope you have enjoyed this post I thought I would try posting something abit different for a change .There will be another post coming shortly with photos from the baby shower and a post explaining everything about what happened at my baby shower.
