October Empties

November 1, 2012

Hey guys, So this is my first month of blogging so I have seen allot of people on here do monthly empties so here are a few of my monthly empties they are mostly hair care this month and a perfume bottle.
1: GHD Thermal Heat Protector For Dry Course Hair
This product has lasted me months it comes out like a clear spray also had a gold lid with this but I’ve lost it there isn’t really a smell to this product which is great if you hate hair care products that have a strong smell to them I have tried many thermal heat protectors with being a hairdresser and I find this one is best for my hair has a new formula with an extra 50% heat protection, up to 200C!, price retails at £9.99.
2: Max factor Xperience Foundation in shade raw silk 45
This  foundation is normally just a back up foundation/spare that I brought not that long ago and wasn’t its biggest fan so just use it when fancy a change there isn’t really a smell to this foundation and there’s nothing special about the packaging either the foundation is fairly runny and the coverage this gives you isn’t that great either. I have added the link just in case anyone does won’t to buy this foundation but I didn’t think it was worth the money at all. So now this product has finished I would not bother buying it again price of this was £9.99.
3: Calvin Klein in 2 U Perfume
This one is very unique, fresh citrus with hint of sweetness on chrype floral background. Don’t just test it on paper, it smells sweet only. at middle notes, some may find it a bit sharp cause by cedar & cactus flower. Its masculine too, so I think its suitable for sporty style, tomboy or a girly girl . This Ck absolutely be a good choice for summer and it does last long all day although I’m not the person that perfumes tend to stay long on.. Just one thing I dislike a bit is the bottle easily getting dirty by several times of touching, makes it looks old on my make up table foundation or anything like that easy gets on the bottle and doesn’t stay looking clean for long.I would probably buy this again but only for day to day wear or summer time price of this 150ml bottle is £20.95.
4: Asda own brand Weather Protect hairspray
This Hairspray is pretty average and doesn’t have a strong smell to it either I use so much hairspray to keep my curly hair straight in this damp weather or when I wear my hair natural curly to stop it getting frizzy so I tend to just pick up any cheap hairspray when I’m out shopping as they really don’t last long at all whatever hairspray make I buy.Hairspray was alright did the job I needed it too so probably would buy this again I paid 99p for this.
5: Wella Enrich Conditioner for fine/normal hair
The smell of this conditioner is amazing! very fruity and fresh and works wonders in my hair I usually have the matching shampoo with this but I ran out a while ago and they had none in stock last time I tried to buy this.I have tried many conditioners and this one definently leaves my hair feeling the best very soft and my hair smells amazing for ages,I will definently be buying this and the shampoo again soon price retails at £7.86 for 250ml.
6: Clynol Repair and Revive Shampoo
I like this shampoo. The packaging is very sleek and professional looking, completely what you would expect from a Salon professional brand. The smell is gorgeous, sweet and floral and it is the longest lasting scent I have experienced with a shampoo Lasted me ages too so I would buy this shampoo again price retails at £4.95 300ml. Normally abit more expensive but they have changed there packaging again so if you buy the old bottle like In my picture then its that price.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your october empties?

Vita Liberata Self Tan

October 25, 2012

Vita Liberata Self Tan Gel Tinted Medium :
Something you should know – this is the first time I’ve ever used a ‘proper’ fake tan. I’ve used instant (for when I’m going out) and gradual, and have had professional spray tans but nothing like this before. I picked this up from Boots and at £22.49 for 200ml it certainly is not cheap, so I thought it must be pretty good.

They say:
– Odourless
– Quick drying
– Evenly fades
– Organic
– Moisturising
– Official X Factor tan!

I have to say, the scent is pleasant during application. It’s not odourless, when you wake up in the morning you still smell of fake tan but it’s about the same scent as a gradual tanner. It is definitely quick drying, I applied with my hands as I find it easier and had to wash them after every body part (e.g. legs – wash hands – body – wash hands – arms – wash hands). The colour once I’d applied was gorgeous, really dark but not ridiculous on my naturally pasty skin.

This morning though, I woke up and immediately had a shower. After 10+ hours I thought I’d still be the lovely colour of the night before, but when all the guide colour came off in the shower, I was only very, very slightly tanned (maybe my legs aren’t the best evidence of this). I’m not streaky at all, but I’m going to give it another go tonight and be a bit more generous with the application as I think maybe my nervousness resulted in a light hand. For the amount of money I paid, I’d definitely expect more colour pay off so I will let you know if a heavier hand produces a better colour because aside from that it was a gorgeous product to use!

Have any of you tried Vita Liberata before? Maybe you could recommend another brand to me! I will be back with an update, I’m not giving in with this one
