Planning A Hen Party ❤

January 29, 2018

Hi All!

I thought I would share with you all my thoughts and tips on planning a hen party! planning a  hen party is a lot of work, there are so many factors to consider.

You need to take into account the bride’s style would she want a tacky party or something more classy, would she prefer a quieter spa day over a Blackpool strip?

you could by mistake end up making their hen party something that would be there worst nightmare. I think a checklist is a great place to start you don’t want to forget anything, you need to make sure you have everything ready.

  • Plan the guest list.
  • Establish a budget that will work for everyone.
  • Contact the bride.
  • Have a hen party meeting for the big decisions to make sure everyone is included.
  • Email the hen party guest list.
  • Plan where to book for the party.
  • Collect the money from hen’s.
  • Buy hen accessories and decorations.
  • Decided if you’re going to be wearing embroidered T-shirts
  • Designed what design if at all on the hen t-shirts I.E nicknames.
  • Decide on the games you want to play.
  • Send out details and keep the hen’s up to date.

I hope this checklist helps makes planning a hen party a little less stressful, I think the key points is to make sure you have double checked what kind of party the Bride would like and you have considered a budget that would be suitable for all hens that the bride would like to attend.

There is also a theme or not theme to consider, the last hen party I went to was a themed Cow Girl, I personally loved this idea and found it easy to find an outfit so there was no outfit stress. We had embroidered t-shirts with nicknames on and the Brides big day written on, I think this is a great idea for hen party’s and also makes a nice keepsake. we made ours very easy wasn’t a difficult process and they came within a few days.

*Have you ever planned a hen party? How would you like your hen party to be like?

Lots Of Love,

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara ❤

January 28, 2018

Hi All!

I often try new mascaras to find the perfect one, mascara is a product I use daily I have found a few I like but none that have amazed me until now. Even if I don’t feel like wearing much make up a few coats of mascara will always make me feel more together. I know how I like my eyelashes to look, I like the mascara to be thick but not too much that my lashes are clumped together.

I always wear only black mascara and a volumising mascara is a must, I don’t usually buy waterproof mascara. I hate mascaras that flake, smudge or make me look like a raccoon at the end of the day, I have been so impressed with the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara ticks all the boxes. I was sent the Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Mascara from Inflenster to test, I was so excited!

I haven’t tried any Marc Jacobs Make up before. I have now run out of this mascara and seriously need to restock! this is the best mascara I have tried and gives me such long black lashes, the mascara retails at £22  so this is probably the most expensive mascara I have tried, but the price is very much worth it!

you can buy this mascara at most big beauty online stores and in department stores, I know that John Lewis stock this mascara online if you don’t have a local store.  I will not be going back to my old mascara now, I also found the mascara lasted me a while. I had a fair few comments about what mascara I was using, my mum noticed straight away and asked what mascara I had on.

The black packaging is very sophisticated I really like the Marc Jacobs packaging, I think the hexagonal shape is really unique. The brush on this mascara is awesome! its got an hourglass shape, which makes the mascara easy to pump up your lashes and to coat all of them, the brush made it very easy to even get into the corner and the tiny lashes. The brush uses natural bristles not the plastic ones you sometimes get with other brands, the comb also makes it very easy to glide on without making them clumpy.

The formula of the mascara is a deep black pigmentation, creates buildable volume the texture is slightly thick but I don’t mind this. I think the mascara works really well on my lashes gives them amazing volume, they are dark enough for me and they last all day.

Have you tried this Mascara? what is your favorite mascara?
*This product was sent to me complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Fun Things To Do Online ❤

January 23, 2018

Hi All!

I thought I would share with you a few ways I spend my time online, I’m always either on my phone or laptop. I have realised I spend a lot of time online or watching tv, I really need to make time for reading or exercise also, it is so difficult not to get sucked into spending hours online it is very easily done! I’m a sucker for turning the laptop off and thinking that’s me done for the evening then I get into bed and spend at least an hour on my phone before actually going to sleep, please say I’m not the only one who does this?

I thought I would share with you what I like to do when I’m online, I seem to do the same things. I check my blog and see if there are any comments to approve, and I have a look see if there are any updates. I write my blog posts and edit posts that I have started. When I’m not doing admin on the blog, I often find myself browsing different online websites, lusting after beauty, fashion and often home! My top beauty websites are Look Fantastic and Cult Beauty I like to keep up to date with the new in section. The fashion websites are Asos, Zara, River Island and Topshop for homeware I only really look at Next.

Once I have finished with admin and shopping sites, I like to try out new sites to play games like casino, slots, bingo, and betting. I have placed a few bets mostly on the horses and more so recently on a boxing match, I ended up waiting up for all night with my partner to watch the McGregor fight.

The games online are all easy to follow and come with clear instructions, I deposit the minimum amount requested for the game, and get started playing! I find bingo easy to play and exciting, the promotions they have to offer grab you’re attention. You just have to know the limit you wish to spend, there is a great feeling when you win! The game that I have looked and played that has the best offer is Becky’s Bingo you spend £10 and get to play with £50, the game is easy to play and you can even win your money back and possibly more!

*What do you do online? What is your favourite website to browse?

Mask Of Magnaminty & Sleepy Lush Review ❤

January 17, 2018

Hi All!

For Christmas I got new beauty products so I’ve been busy trying them, I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the Lush Mask Of Magnaminty and Lush Sleepy Moisturiser.

Lush Mask Of Magnaminty

The Mask of Magnaminty is quite thick and creamy in texture, as you can see from the picture below the mask is green! I love the scent of the mask, it smells like spearmint, I find it very refreshing!

The scent is just right I don’t find the mask too minty or overpowering just a light mint smell. Although the texture is thick I didn’t have any problems applying the mask, it spreads easily over the skin, it is easier to spread then other masks I have tried previously.

The mask feels very invigorating, Cooling and very refreshing on the skin there is also a cold cooling sensation on the skin when applying, which I didn’t mind. you can feel the mask is working and deeply cleansing and refreshing the skin whilst it dries. The exfoliating granules in the mask are tiny and very gentle on the skin, not too harsh or rough, or scratchy I personally hate masks that are like this. I have sensitive skin so like a mask to cleanse deeply but not too leave me with a red blotchy face.

The mask does not dry really hard or go stiff like some clay masks do, there is also no tight feeling as the mask dries, I did find the mask to flake off slightly after 10 minutes but found the mask comfortable to keep on. The mask easily washes off, I left the mask on for 10 minutes added warm water to rehydrate and then used a flannel to remove the mask.

After removing the mask the skin is left feeling soft, smooth and deeply cleansed with a nice glow. I would defiantly recommend this mask if you like to have a pamper, and if your skin is in need of a deep cleanse. The mask retails at £6.95  for 125g which I think is a reasonable price for a face mask, you don’t need to use a lot so I think this would last a while, this mask can also be used on the body so a multi-use product.

“Easily smoothed over the skin, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you wash it away. There’s mineral rich kaolin to nourish, honey for its antibacterial properties, and we used just the right amount of peppermint oil to stimulate blood cells under the surface of your skin and leave your skin looking bright and refreshed. ”

Lush Sleepy Body lotion

I have seen the hype around the Lush Sleepy Body Lotion and I often struggle with sleep, when I heard how so many people had the best night sleep using this cream and even helped their toddlers sleep! I knew that I needed this cream, I was unsure at first if this would really work or if I had been sucked into buying something again because of Instagram.

There have been so many people using this lotion from tired mums to people with chronic illnesses and insomniac tendencies singing its praises. I have heard of parents using this on children I’m not sure to be honest if this is safe or not so I wouldn’t personally, but if you personally struggle with sleep then I would recommend giving this ago! I have tried so many different pillow sprays ranging from different prices, and have found This Works sleep spray is the best so far but I’m always on the lookout for new products to help with sleep.

When I first applied the Sleepy body lotion I did feel strange applying a purple liquid on my body, but the lotion, however, smells lovely! earthy, creamy and of lavender with sweetness. I popped the lotion on my legs, tummy chest and arms and got comfy in bed, I did notice that I hadn’t spent hardly any time trying to get to sleep. I would recommend to have a shower first pop on the lotion and not to have any coffee near bedtime as it will have competing effects.

The lotion retails at £7.95 for 95g which I think is a good price for a good nights sleep! You can pay more for a body lotion that doesn’t have the same great benefits. I  would recommend this body lotion to anyone to try if you also struggle with sleep, you wake up with soft skin and feeling refreshed. I personally love the smell of Lavender so this alone made me want this body lotion but with the great sleeping effects and the soft skin, you really can’t go wrong.

“You’ll sleep well after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute. A rich, malty and floral perfume conjures up visions of sugar plums and hot drinks topped with whipped cream while the heavenly ministrations of creamy Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and delicate lavender water cool and enrich the skin. Blanket your body in this lovely lotion before stepping into soft pyjamas for snuggly nights beside the fire.”

Have you tried Lush Sleepy or Mask of magnaminty? What do you think of Sleepy?

Last minute Stocking Fillers ❤

December 20, 2017

Hi All!

I’m so excited for Christmas this year Dylan is also so I think this is why, we have been to a few family Christmas events also so think this helps! I have also finished my Christmas shopping I might pop into town this week just to have a browse but I’m pretty finished now and have wrapped all the presents I do have.

I have now finished for Christmas in the office! looking forward to a nice break off seeing friends and family. At the start of the week, I had my nails done for Christmas there red and sparkly! I also picked up a few last minute stocking Fillers from B&M Stores so thought I would share with you what I picked up, I managed to get so many bargains.

The St Tropez present was only £5! this box has been slightly damaged at the top but this is okay it’s nothing major and isn’t damaged inside. This was the last one on the shelf and I can see why, great gift for a fake tan lover and to get party ready comes with the tan, mitt and a Ciate nail polish in sparkly gold.

Nivea men gift set you can’t go wrong with a smelly gift set, there products that you know someone is going to use and it’s often a great way to try new products that you might not have thought of trying. This set was only £3.99 for 3 full sized products such a bargain!

Garnier Hydrate gift set I couldn’t not buy this one, the sheet mask that comes inside is great! I often use this mask for a pamper evening. This gift set was £6.99 for 3 products inside the hydrate day cream, Hydrate night cream, and the sheet mask. I haven’t tried the creams before but if the mask is anything to go by I know they will be good for moisturising your skin, they are all full sized products inside. The day cream usually just to buy is £7.99 so I can’t believe the price of this gift set. I actually have a review soon for the Moisture Bomb mask, will leave the link when this is up.

The last gift is the Dove Ever Blossom collection £3.99 comes with two shower gels and a shower puff sponge, this is a lovely little gift set that you know that someone will be able to use and enjoy. Also, a good way to try new shower gels and scents that you might not have tried previously.

I picked up Dylan an M&M selection box he loves M&M’s! soon as I saw this in the Christmas aisle I knew he would love this in his stocking. You can’t go wrong with Chocolate at Christmas! I have always bought selection boxes, so this is one job ticked off! I can’t remember the price of this selection box but I know it wasn’t a lot, would have been the average price for this kind of thing so possibly £1.99.

Do you shop at B&M Stores? they often have some great bargains, I love the homeware section and the children’s toys. My fur grey rug that’s in my bedroom is from there I found this in store and so much cheaper than other stores where currently selling for!

*Are you excited for Christmas? What do you have left to do?
